Aussies and Brits in tie for Ashes

The Australian and British teams have tied for the Mathematics Ashes, in an epic contest at Trinity College, Cambridge, the score being 66 all.

The two teams face off for the Mathematics Ashes during the morning.

Both teams are training together in the week before competing in the International Mathematical Olympiad in Amsterdam next week. Most of this consists of practice exams with the main one being for the Ashes.

As a result the British team will continue to hold the Ashes, in which on the previous three occasions they held a 2-1 lead.

Deputy Leader Graham White said this was an excellent effort as the Exam was difficult and the British team is strong.
