Informatics Events
- What is Informatics?: Informatics is the science underlying computing, communication and the Internet.
Alternatively, informatics is the study of the structure and behavior of natural and artificial systems
that generate, process, store, and communicate information. Informatics also includes the study of
the cognitive, social, legal, and economic impact of information systems.
Important issues are being able to transmit information safely and securely without being threatened.
Students studying informatics learn the basic algorithms, data structures and computational techniques that underlie information and communication,
and demonstrate the learning through computer programming tasks.

- Australian Informatics Competition (AIC)
- The transition from AIC to AIO (learning programming). We recommend this NCSS site.
One can either learn to program casually from the site or enrol in a course formally.
