Goodbye and thank you, Japan

Congratulations to the Australian team!   Well done to Albert, Angus, Jacob and Jerry – you’ve all done a heckuva job!

Today has been a very busy day with a range of activities and ceremonies.  And it’s an early morning tomorrow, so your author thought it might be a good idea to close off the IOI 2018 blog with some final photos from the group’s trip.  Thank you Japan, for hosting such a great event.  Thank you Chen, for being the totes best guide.

Finally,  a picture with IA!  Where are the glow sticks, team?!?!?!?

And this time, with IA!

Um, Nathan, bad idea about playing around with the decay value.  You’ve totally broken it.

We've totally broken it...it was Nathan's bright idea about changing the decay!

This year’s team – great at informatics, terrible at looking at the same camera at the same time.

Normal

Um, I think that clock is following you guys…

Cray Team

This just in – Robert unable to travel back to Japan due to drop-bear fever.

Can’t. . .quite. . .hold. . .on. . .  (Robert, Nathan, Chen and Jacob had all fallen in by this point).

Can't....quite...hold....on....goodbye....Japan!

It’s been a great time, a challenging comp and we’d love to stay longer – but we must say our goodbyes and head home.  Next up – Azerbeijan 2019!!!
