The Australian Invitational Informatics Olympiad (AIIO) is a programming competition for Australian and New Zealand students and is held each year in February. Around 40 students are invited to participate each year.
The AIIO is an important part of AMT’s Olympiad program and is used to identify talented students who may be invited to the Informatics Selection School, which is an important step in the pathway to representing Australia at the International Olympiad in Informatics.

The Olympiad programs are supported by the Australian Government Department of Industry, Science, Energy and Resources through the Science Competitions: Mathematics and Informatics Olympiads grant opportunity.
