The Australian Mathematics Olympiad (AMO) is a two-day Olympiad-level competition comprising of four questions each day under school supervision. About 100 – 200 students are invited to participate in this event. The exam is held over two days in February and is used to select students to the March/April Selection School and also the five team members of the Australian EGMO team.
The Olympiad programs are funded through the Australian Government’s National Innovation and Science Agenda. The Olympiad programs are also supported by the Trust’s National Sponsor of the Australian Informatics and Mathematical Olympiads, Optiver.
